what are the drying methods?
As a common equipment, drying cabinet is widely used in various industries. In addition to drying items, it can also provide the required temperature environment for some experiments. So what are the drying methods?
According to the drying principle, it can be divided into the following categories:
1. Vacuum drying cabinet: This is an old drying device designed for drying heat-sensitive, easily decomposed and easily oxidized substances. The inside of the drying box is divided into several layers by a hollow heating plate. Hot water or low-pressure steam is passed into the heating plate as the heating medium. The material pan with the items to be dried is placed on the heating plate, close the door, and the inside of the box is drawn by a vacuum pump. The heating plate heats the object to the specified temperature, and gradually drawn them away.
2.Electrically heated drying cabinet: the electric heating method is used to carry out the cycle drying test. The hot air is blown out by the circulating fan to form convection in the box, ensuring the temperature balance in the box and making the items dry quickly. It is widely used in various industries such as foundry, automobile, food, machinery, etc. Advantages: fast heating speed; high uniformity; suitable for most industries. Disadvantages: Because high-temperature air is used for drying, do not put flammable and volatile items in the drying box to avoid explosion.
3.Freeze drying cabinet: It freezes the water-containing material into a solid state, and then directly sublimates the water from the solid state to a gaseous state to remove the water and preserve the material. Ordinary drying methods are usually carried out at temperatures above 0°C or higher. The dried products generally have the problems of reduced volume and hard texture which may lead to the loss of the volatile components. Some heat-sensitive materials will be denatured and deactivated, and some materials may even be oxidized. Therefore, there is a big difference in the properties of the dried product compared to the one before drying.
4.Far-infrared drying cabinet: After heating, the far-infrared element can radiate far-infrared rays above 2-15 microns. When it is absorbed by the heated object, it can be directly converted into heat energy, thereby we can obtain the effect of rapid drying, shorten the production cycle, save energy and improve Product quality.
5.Vacuum microwave drying cabinet: During operation, microwaves are first generated by the microwave generator and input into the microwave heater through the energy feeding device; the material is sent to the heater by the transmission system, and the moisture in the material is heated and evaporated under the action of microwave energy. The water vapor is removed by the dehumidification system to achieve the purpose of drying. The bacteria in the material are killed by the biological and thermal effects produced by the microwave electromagnetic field. Because the microwave directly acts on the material, and low drying temperature, the loss of the effective ingredients in the medicine is small.
