Cleaning of the vacuum drying oven

We often encounter some instrument problems during experiments, such as bottle plugs cannot be opened, the dirt on the drying box is difficult to remove, and emulsification occurs during liquid dispensing.

Crystals attached to the wall of the instrument beaker:When refluxing or concentrating the solution, crystals often precipitate on the inner wall of the flask above the liquid surface and adhere firmly, are unable to participate in the reaction, and sometimes cause gradual decomposition and discoloration. If this happens, shake the flask gently to soak the solution inside to dissolve it. If the flow of the device is restricted and the flask cannot be shaken, a cool damp cloth can be used to cover the upper part of the flask to allow the solvent to condense and flow down the wall to dissolve the crystals. The vacuum drying oven also needs to quickly dry the instrument and remove the special dirt on the instrument regularly or in time.

Cannot open due to the solid glass interface:When the screw cap cannot be unscrewed, you can use a hair dryer or flame to bake the cap to let it heated and expand, then wrap the cap with a cloth and rotate it open. Knock one side of the grinded part with a wooden tool to gradually loosen it due to the shock. For cemented reagent bottles,the stopper and bottle mouth of the instrument can be stuck at the corners of the experimental table or wooden table, and then tapped with a wooden utensil along the direction at an angle of about 70° to the axis of the instrument, at the same time you can intermittently rotate the instrument and repeatedly manipulate it for a few times ,generally opening the cemented grinding mouth .

The thermometer is bonded by a rubber stopper:The vacuum drying box can be inserted between the thermometer or glass tube and the rubber plug or hose with the tip of a small screwdriver or file to form a space, and then drip a few drops of water on it , manipulate and expand along the thermometer or glass tube while gradually deepening ,  finally it can be pulled out soon. You can also use a drill that just fits into the thermometer or glass tube ,and moisten it with a little glycerin, insert it from one end of the thermometer and push it gently when rotating. If it is difficult to roll, pull it out and apply lubricant to continue rotating. After repeating it a few times, you can take out the thermometer or glass tube.
